South Hormozgan Steel Company is Iran’s second-largest steel production plant established after the Islamic Revolution. Located along the shores of the Persian Gulf, the company occupies a 95-hectare site, approximately 13 kilometers west of Bandar Abbas, within the Persian Gulf Special Economic Zone for Mineral and Metal Industries (PGSEZ). Construction of the facility began in 2008.
