The Persian Gulf Special Economic Zone for Mineral and Metal Industries was established with the aim of creating a competitive environment based on the unique comparative advantages of Hormozgan Province in international trade. The Zone’s strategic priorities include fostering competition, strengthening the national commitment to non-oil exports, empowering a productive workforce, promoting and implementing industries that comply with international environmental standards, creating sustainable employment opportunities, and facilitating the transfer of advanced global knowledge and technology to the mainland.
Furthermore, adopting a realistic approach to profitability in domestic and foreign investment, facilitating transshipment and the movement of goods on a global scale, and developing the necessary infrastructure are among the key priorities guiding the planning and operations of the Persian Gulf Special Economic Zone for Mineral and Metal Industries.
